The treacherous canyon was given this name in honor of a rogue sabre that once tried to take over the packlands from Laconia. He failed, but was yet honored for his battle prowess and so they named the canyon this in remembrance and as a reminder never to underesitmate the outside world. The river that runs through the canyon is named Lochos after the first daughter of Laconia, as it is the backbone of the pack. Without it Akkadia could not survive.
